Will Mavs Lose Jason Terry And Jason Kidd If Complete Season Is Lost?

Heading into this offseason Dallas Mavericks fans knew that it was unlikely that the team would be able to all five of its free agents; Tyson Chandler, Caron Butler, J.J. Barea, DeShawn Stevenson and Brian Cardinal.
All five were important contributors in last seasons championship run and replacing them would be difficult.
But with the news yesterday that the players had rejected the owners latest contract offer and the NBPA disbanded commissioner David Stern suggested that the 2011-12 season is now in serious jeopardy.
If there is no season this year, what happens to Jason Terry and Jason Kidd who are both entering the final years of their contracts? If the season is wiped out, then does the final year of their contract get ripped up?
Terry, who would be entering his eighth season in Dallas, risks losing .7 million if there is no season. Terry, 34, says he wants to retire with the Mavs, and the team has said they want the same. But, once in free agency, anything can happen.
Kidd stands to lose .6 million in what would be his 18th NBA season and possibly his last. He has said that a total wipeout of the season could end his career because it would be too difficult to fire up the body after not playing for a full year.
So if we get no basketball until October of 2012, the Dallas Mavericks that take the floor when the season eventually resumes, could look completely different than the team that ran off the court in Miami as World Champions with as many as seven new faces.
